About our cause
Lanarkshire Deaf Hub, the leading deaf-led charity for deafness and hearing loss in Lanarkshire (North and South), is committed to improving the lives of individuals with deafness and hearing loss. With over 300 members and a remarkable 200% increase since March 2024, we have connected communities since 2003. Your support is vital to our mission. We support individuals of all ages (Deaf, Deafblind, Deafened, Hard of Hearing, Hearing Loss and Tinnitus), offering them information, advice, and guidance, regardless of their membership status. We support British Sign Language (BSL) users. We aim to ensure their rights, engagement, participation, inclusion, and access are respected and protected. Our focus is on promoting confidence building, self management, empowerment, motivation, and encouragement among our service users. We understand that access to information, services, and communication is crucial in our work, and we are dedicated to breaking down the daily barriers that severely impact our communities' lives, health, mental health, and wellbeing.
Any money / funding raised will significantly enhance our ability to connect, communicate, and collaborate with essential services such as health and social care, education, and other daily life services. This will directly improve accessibility, information, communication, engagement, participation, and quality, benefiting communities. The funding will also enable us to continue providing crucial advocacy information, advice, and guidance support to our members and other individuals with deafness and hearing loss living across Lanarkshire.
We need your support so we can continue to offer and even expand our unique work! Through your support, we can further our communities' engagement and empowerment. Your money / funding will directly support community-led initiatives and projects, empowering our members to participate actively in their communities' development, engagement, and involvement. Your contribution is not just financial; it also symbolises your belief in our cause and your commitment to creating stronger, more resilient communities. Your involvement is crucial to our success.
Thank you for your support and good luck!
